Welcome to Hagerstown Elementary School
Our Elementary School operates on three strong beliefs; we know the work students do here is important, we know the students can do the work, and we donít give up on our students.
Hagerstown Elementary is a learner-centered school. We provide a safe, caring and non-threatening learning environment. Our curriculum and assessment tools are based on the Indiana Academic Standards. Communication, cooperation, creativity, problem solving, and complex thinking skills are emphasized to make life-long learners of all Hagerstown Elementary students. Our staff is committed to continuous improvement through professional development.
We celebrate each studentís unique, individual qualities and regularly let them know they are capable. We make a positive difference in the teaching and learning environment. Teachers identify each studentís varying ability levels and differentiate instruction to accelerate learning.
At Hagerstown Elementary we make decisions based upon what is best for students. We accept the challenge to create intellectually reflective and engaging classrooms. Teachers utilize a variety of resources to offer the absolute best, researched based instruction possible.
Hagerstown Elementary is a wonderful place where students come first.
