The primary mission of the music department is to provide students with a lifelong enjoyment. Upon completion of the program, students will have a fundamental knowledge of the conceptual structure of music. Included are the following concepts: pitch, rhythm, dynamics, style, form, harmony, and major historical elements of music both through performance and participation.
